That's why our wallets, backpacks, briefcases, slings and bags are still made by hand, the way they have been for more than ten years. Hands with years of practice catch what a pattern can't: a hide that needs a different tension, an edge that's a fraction off. They fix it before it ever becomes your problem, and they keep getting better at it. GLIDESPEED luggage and our clothing go through industrial steps, so we don't call them handmade.
Working this way takes time, so we make each product in short runs. Each batch is small enough to watch closely, and material is planned down to the cut. Before a piece leaves the workshop, it goes through a two-phase inspection for durability, function and finish. If something isn't right, it doesn't ship.
The materials are chosen for how they'll look years from now. Full-grain leather from a tannery in northern Italy keeps the hide's natural surface, so it softens with use and takes on a patina from the way you carry it. Ballistic nylon, first made for military flak jackets, holds up to years of airport floors and car trunks.
How long it all lasts is in writing. Every Speed Wallet™ carries a five-year warranty (one year on the MagSafe models), every Speed Backpack™ and briefcase carries ten, and every other product has its own, listed in our Warranty policy. You also have 30 days from delivery to return it for a full refund of the product, under our Returns policy.
